Why I Feel Blessed This Year
This year, I am incredibly blessed to be able to create teaching resources that make a difference in classrooms across the country.
Knowing that teachers are using my resources to support their students fills me with joy and purpose.
Teaching has always been close to my heart, so having the chance to lighten the workload for other educators and save them precious time feels like such a meaningful way to give back.
I’ll never forget a teacher who reached out to thank me for one of my resources, sharing how it transformed her classroom routine and gave her students more confidence.
Moments like these remind me why I love doing this work.
Your dedication inspires me, and I’m honored to be part of your teaching journey!
Classroom Resources I’m Sharing
To continue the spirit of giving, I’m sharing my set of Levels of Understanding Posters and the Monthly Genre Reading Challenge—two of the most-used resources in my classroom this year.
Levels of Understanding Posters
The Levels of Understanding Posters is a quick and effective way to check in with students and see their confidence levels with the standards we’re working on.
These posters make it easy for me to gauge who needs extra support and plan small groups or differentiated lessons accordingly.
Monthly Genre Reading Challenge
The Monthly Genre Reading Challenge is all about sparking a love for reading.
So many students stick to just one type of book, but this challenge encourages them to try new genres.
I love hearing students come back and say, “I never knew I’d like mysteries until I tried one during the challenge!”
The bingo-style format keeps it fun and engaging, and since it’s editable, you can align it with the genres you are covering in class.
