How to make a simple backdrop from brown paper bags

Materials needed to make a paper bag flower backdrop

• A pack of brown paper bags

(14 paper bags per flower)

• Stapler

• Yarn or some string.

• Scissors

• Hole Puncher

DIY Flower Paper Bags Directions

• Step 1: First, round the top of the paper bag by doing a mountain cut.

You will repeat this step 14 times using a new paper bag each time. So, double up bags to save you time.

• Step 2: Next, punch a hole in the middle at the bottom of each bag. Make sure the hole in the paper bags aligns as closely as possible.

• Step 3: Then, pass each bag through the string until you have all 14 of them. Cut the length of the string long enough to leave room to make a loop at the end.

I don't recommend stringing over 14 paper bags because the paper bags will overlap, and it's harder to make a circle.

• Step 4: Afterwards, tie the string leaving a small room for the bags to wiggle around. The string helps to hold the brown paper bags in place.

• Step 5: Last, grab two brown paper bags at each end and staple the inside. Continue to open each of the brown paper bags and staple the inside to the next one.

Adding a handmade brown paper bag flower background in the classroom is an inexpensive way to jazz up the decor.

A focal point is an area in your room where your eyes are drawn to when you go in.
